I Can't Believe...

The culprate:

She tried to kill him according to Jacks.  He was very upset about it.

Jemma opened the tailgate of the truck as Jacks was climbing over it.  He fell, hitting his head on the cement. He obtained a nasty bump. Serious?  Yes.
However, it was pretty hard not to laugh every time Jacks burst into tears exclaiming, "I don't know why Jemma would try to kill me!" And,  "I can't believe Jemma would try to kill me!" or "Why did Jemma try to kill me?"

Dance Recital

Jemma has been so excited for her dance recital. Ever since December, when she received her costume, she has been asking daily when her recital was going to be.  I'm so glad the day has finally arrived so I can say, "Yes!  It's your recital!"

She posed for a couple of photos, which then turned into a photo shoot.

And now we are tired and laying on the dirty floor.

Time to dance!

Spring Break - AZ Style

Spring Break consisted of shooting, swimming, and more shooting.

Arizona was our Spring Break destination.  Matt had some classes to take, so we packed the car up and headed on down.  We invited one of our favorite people, Ella, to join us.  We started our AZ adventure off with some shooting practice.

We spent a couple of days at Glen and Julie's house before we headed to our hotel.

We stayed at the Hilton Squaw Peak Resort...which was pretty cool.  The River Ranch was at the resort.  So while Matt was in his boring seminar, the kids and I headed over to laze around in the lazy river, slide down the waterslide, and splash around in the waterfall by the pool.  If there's anything the Washburn kids love more than swimming, I haven't found it.

After our fun filled days of sun and water, it was time to pack up and head home.  But before we could leave sunny, warm, beautiful Arizona, Matt bought me my very own 20 guage shotgun!   We had to get in one more shooting practice before we could leave.

'til next year!

Easter Morning

The Bunny once again came and filled our baskets full of candy. The kids woke up early and were already on their way to candy overload before 7 am. Why does that Bunny do that to me every year?  The Bunny knows my kids do not need that much sugar, but the Bunny does it anyway. Hopefully, next year, the Bunny will have learned a lesson.

Once the kids came down off their sugar high, it was picture time!  Always an exciting event around here.  We dressed our best for church.  And took our photo session outside...it was too sunny, were the complaints I heard.

 Much better.

Happy Easter!

Egg Hunt

Lander City Park Easter Egg Hunt:

Why do we go every year?

I don't know.  Good question.

It took me longer to blink than it did all the egg grabbing kids to gather the hundreds of eggs out on the baseball field.

This was the best picture I could get.  Pathetic.

Wrestling

Bennett is back to wrestling.

He participated in 3 tournaments this spring.  Riverton, Lander, and West Side, taking 2nd place medals in each one.

He is determined that next year will be the year he gets 1st at all tournaments he enters.  Determination is a strong motivator, and this is one determined little man!

Visitors!

We had visitors the end of March. Heather, Ethan, Brogan, and Kinzlee came to see us during Ethan's Spring Break.  I didn't get the camera out much, dang it, but we did document our outing to the park (if you count 2 pictures documentation).  It was so fun having them here.  Please, please come again!

St. Patricks Day

The kids made a leprechaun trap the eve of St. Patrick's Day.  That sneaky leprechaun avoided the trap and turned our milk green.  The milk being green in turn, turned our muffins and eggs green.  I thought breakfast looked a little disgusting and abstained from eating.  The kids chowed down and  assured me it all tasted the same.

The Park

What happens when you tell your kids to stay out of the puddle at the park?

They ignore the park and play in the puddle of course!
