New Car

Our beloved Trailblazer let us down.

In June Matt had a crazy dream that his dad was telling him that our car wasn't safe for our family and we needed to sell it immediately.

Matt and I thought it was a strange dream, wondered if it was something we should take serious and then decided to wait a year to start looking for a new car.
In August we decided to take it to a mechanic and have it checked out and tuned up to make sure everything was working properly. The mechanic called us back and told us, if he were us he would start looking for a new car. It seems something major with the front axel was damaged.

So the first weekend in September while also visiting the temple open house, we went car shopping.

We found an Acadia! Although, I'm pretty disappointed about having to pay for a new car when it wasn't in our plan. I'm also pretty excited for the fun of driving around a new car.

I guess a moral to this story is that if your dreams give you pause to think, maybe you should search harder to determine if the Spirit is trying to warn you about something. I'm glad my family is safe and our Trailblazer didn't break down on us as we were traveling around the rual roads of Wyoming.

Ogden Temple

Our family made it to the Ogden Temple open house.

Inside was absolutely beautiful.

Jacks asked if we could have furniture just like theirs inside our house.

Jemma made it a point to drink out of every single golden drinking fountain.

Bennett was pretty excited at the prospect that in 3 years he will be able to do baptisms for the dead inside there.

I'm grateful for the knowledge that families can be sealed here on earth in temples and be together forever.

I'm even grateful for that knowledge when I am trying to have a nice picture taken of my husband and me, and a certain middle child is intent on being a photo bomber.

Date Day

One of the best things about having all our kids in school?
Matt and I can go on a date without paying for a babysitter!
Matt and I went up Sinks Canyon way and found some trails to 4 wheel on.
Such a beautiful day to be in the mountains!

Jacks

Jacksen lost his first front tooth. I've been working on it for weeks! I've been wiggling, pulling, twisting, all the while Jacks has been screaming, crying, hyperventilating...
So as usual, he sat down and gave me 3 tries to get it out and then I would have to wait for the next day. My first try his tooth basically fell into my hand as Jacks was mid scream.
With that smile and proud look you wouldn't know what kind of an ordeal we go through.
Until next time Jacks!
