Wrestling Tournament

Bennett participated in pee-wee wrestling again this year. I guess it's quite the thing to do around here. He went to 2 tournaments. His first one in Lander was his learning curve. But he did really well at the Riverton tournament. He placed 4th in his weight class, and was pretty proud of the medal he recieved.

Just before one of his matches, I told Bennett to make his angry face. Unfortunetly he was in the process of eating some licorice and this picture didn't turn out as intimidating as I'd hoped.
Jacks can't wait for his turn. We bought Bennett's wrestling gear, and could not get Jacks out them.

Tea Party

Ella spent her spring break with us. Bennett was disappointed everyday he had to leave for school because he was certain he was missing all the fun.

So Ella made a surprise for him when he got home from school.

A Tea Party complete with grill-cheese sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate milk.

The party was a success, as there were smiles all around.

Jacks Dentist Visit

Jacks had a small little cavity in one of his baby molars. When I walked back, Jacks was comfortably cocooned in a flannel blanket, watching a DVD and sniffing a little laughing gas. He was in heaven. To top off his experience he was able to select a pterodactyl as his prize for not causing a fuss.

Grrrr!

I made homemade bread today.

I was pretty proud of my accomplishment when my 2 loaves came out of the oven warm and edible. (sometimes the edible part doesn't always accompany my cooking attempts)

2 hours later, when my back was turned.... SOMEBODY threw them on the floor and sat on the beautiful loaves.

Sometimes....

My kids....
I have no words....

Dirt Anyone?

I fixed Jacks lunch today.

He didn't want to eat, but relented and then asked for more.

"Did you like it, Jacks?"

"Yeah! I like dirt!"

Tub Time Humor

Tonight Bennett and Jacks were in the tub. Bennett hopped out to use the bathroom, dripping water all over. When he got back into the tub, he informed Jacks that his pajamas were now wet.
"What!" Jacks shrieked. "My pajamas are wet? I can't believe it!"
Now it was funny to hear Jacks so dismayed about his misfortune, but it was even funnier to hear Bennett's pure delight in Jacks dramatics. Bennett laughed hysterically and repeated it word for word, over and over to Matt and I (even though we had heard the orginal with our own ears).
It's the simple things, right?
Oh, how I love these two boys. They make me smile.

Pick-a-roni

Last night was pizza night.
I made the dough and separated it so we could each make our own.
I placed all the fixings in front of the kids and let them have at it.
They piled sauce, cheese, and mini pepperonis (perfect for mini pizzas) on.
When Jacks finished his pile of pepperoni he proclaimed "More pick-a-roni please"
Adorable.

Sinks Canyon

While our guest were visiting, Matt and Jason took Bennett, Ethan, Grace, and Felicity to Sinks Canyon. I don't know that there was too much to see under all the snow, but the trip was mostly to get them out of the house. They were acting like caged animals while we were trying to bake and decorate. From the smiles on their faces it looks like they had a good time with each other.

Jacks 4th Birthday

4 years old!

It seems like Jacks has been with us forever. (In a good way!)

He's just one of those kids you can't imagine a time when he wasn't with you.

Jacks is a sneak, an loves it. He can sneak up on you and sneak away from you without anyone noticing. I love his facial expressions. You can always tell he's up to something just by the look on his face. He loves to wear pjs and "comfy clothes" all day long. His favorite things are dragons, pirate ships, dinosaurs, popcorn, and his lion blanket.

On a side note: The other night I was trying to put Jacks to bed. He kept hopping out, sneaking to the corner, then would peak around and wait for me to notice, then would run as fast as he could to his bed.

I walked into his room, pulled his blanket up around his chin and said: "If you get out of bed one more time, I'm going to have to spank you."

Jacks replied: "Pinky swear?"

I really don't know what to do with him sometimes!

Jemma's 2nd Birthday

2 years!

I can't believe it!

Jemma is such a little thing, but definetly full of spunk. She's mostly sweet with sugar, with just a little bit of spice added in to make her parents think she's adorable. (But we're allowed that. Right?)

Jemma loves kitties, princesses, crowns, sparkly shoes, and fluffy skirts. So she celebrated by having a "pink" party.

Grandma Julie came with Michelle, Grace, and Felicity. Heather and Jason came toting along Ethan and Brogan. It was a full house, and they braved the winter roads, but it was so fun to share Jemma's birthday with them.
