Matt's family has been going there for decades. I think the first evidence of them being up there is in the 1940s'. Matt's grandpa Burnell and his friends carved their names in a grove of aspens. It's tradition to do in when they go camping up there. Matt's first time was in 1984 when he was about 6 years old.
Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family

Donkey Lake
We went to Donkey Lake the week before the 4th of July.

We had a lot of fun up there. They men and boys went crazy with the fishing. That is all my boys wanted to do.

T-ball
We signed 2 up for t-ball this year...only 1 lasted.
After Jacks stole the ball during practise, then quietly tip-toed off the field, trying to hid it from the coach; I decided we would give him another year before we actually put him in the game.
Bennett has been enjoying it, however.
He's pretty good at it also. He must take after his dad who was on the little league all-star team back in his day.

Breakable
Jemma broke her arm this weekend, poor girl.
A trampoline!

Brilliant on Matt's and my part.
They sure do love it!
I won't jinx it by saying thus far we are major injury free. (From the trampoline, of course)
She fell down the stairs at Grandma Julie's house.
My nephew, Ben, appropriately asked, "Why are your kids so breakable?"
Good question! As you may remember, Bennett has broken his arm 3 times.

Grizzly Bears, Oh My!
I was so disappointed we hadn't yet made it to Yellowstone this spring to see the bears out and about. I really wanted to.
However, little did I know all we had to do was drive over Togwotee Pass on our way to Idaho to see a mama grizzly with her cub.

It almost made the 4 hour car ride with screaming kids worth it...almost.

Wrestling Tournament
Bennett participated in pee-wee wrestling again this year. I guess it's quite the thing to do around here. He went to 2 tournaments. His first one in Lander was his learning curve. But he did really well at the Riverton tournament. He placed 4th in his weight class, and was pretty proud of the medal he recieved.
