The Washburn Family packed up and headed to Idaho for Easter 2014.
Matt stared the weeken out on Saturday morning searching for Easter Egg Hunts. He raced the kids here and there and finally settled on meeting Heather's family in Shelley. I'm pretty sure they had fun gathering all that candy.
Sunday morning we all dresses our best and headed to Sacrament Meeting with Grandma Julie. During the meeting the Primary children got up and sang a song called "Gethsemane". It's a song our children in our ward have been learning also. It is an amazing song that immediately brings the spirit.
Here are the words to the song:
Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still.
His steps were heavy and slow.
Love and a prayer took Him there to the place only He could go.
Gethsemane.
Jesus loves me.
So He went willingly.
To Gethsemane.
He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad, all the pain we would ever know.
While His friends were asleep He fought to keep His promise made long ago.
Gethsemane.
Jesus loves me.
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane.
The hardest thing that ever was done,
The greatest pain that ever was known,
The biggest battle that ever was won,
This was done by Jesus!
The fight was won by Jesus!
Gethsemane.
Jesus loves me.
So He gave His gift to me
In Gethsemane.
Gethsemane.
Jesus loves me.
So He gives His gift to me
From Gethsemane.
I love this song. It feels like a testimony every time I sing it or hear it.
I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for his sacrafice for me in Gethsemane. I am grateful for the knowledge of the Atonement. That I can repent of my sins, be a better daughter of God, and return to live in my Heavely Fathers presence if I live righteously.
Happy Easter
